Rickshaws

Rickshaws are available from Hospet to Hampi and back. These 3-wheeled machines are most common means of commuting in any Indian town. In Hospet, rickshaws can be hired near Bus Stand or any rickshaw stand. The trip to Hampi will cost you about Rs.5-10. A 13km ride in a rickshaw can be tiring as it can take only 3 passengers in it (4 including the driver), especially, if the driver takes more than 3 passengers out of courtesy. The same rickshaw might take you to different places of interest in Hampi if the driver is willing. To avoid any kind of conflicts, please discuss and decide the tariff you would be paying before boarding the rickshaw.

If you know how to drive a two-wheeler and can afford to rent one, you must do so. There are several bike rental companies in all major cities in India.
